Almost Six Months!!!

So we are less than one week away from our little princess being 6 months old!! I cant believe it!! Time is definitely flying by these days! Tomorrow we are taking Julia down to my uncle's house in Laguna Niguel and he is going to take some pictures for us of her, hopefully the weather will cooperate:) I cant even begin to explain how this little girl as changed my life. She is my motivation, i never imagined i could feel this way about another person, but i do! Just thinking about it makes my heart ache and i start to get teary eye'd...haha!! Although, i am a crybaby to begin with:) I feel myself wanting to be a better woman, wife, and mother everyday i spend with her! I am really learning what is important in life.

Julia has definitely developed her own little personality. She is very strong-willed and very impatient. She is definitely ahead for her age, but she's still is eager to learn more and move forward. She's been rolling over for about 2 months now and in the last two weeks has learned to scoot herself backwards but cant quite get herself to go forward...haha!! Well, because she is so impatient and eager to get going she gets VERY frustrated after awhile of trying and makes it known to the whole household!! She's learning to put her arms out when she wants someone to hold her and I love it!! It makes me feel special when she reaches for me:) Were also on to the next homemade vegetable, which will be......green beans!!! MMMMMMM:)

I will definitely post the pictures that we take tomorrow as soon as i can, which will probably be Monday. I dont like to use the computer on weekends unless Julia is sleeping and Robert's not home and even then that is usually the perfect time for me to be spending in prayer and in my bible:) Hope everyone has a great weekend!

New Pics!

Lately!

Thought I would write a bit while Julia takes a nap! So it has really been pressed upon my heart to really be spending quality time with Julia. I work fulltime and I hate that I am away from her so much! I came across this article about spending quality time with you kids and I thought I would share it! I see parents constantly buying buying buying for their kids and doing all kinds of lavish things for them and I think to myself, is that really whats important? Its very hard for me to go to the store and not buy something for Julia, but I have to tell myself everytime, is this something she really needs? I dont want her to grow up and think everytime we go to the store mommy buys me something! I had a friend who's little girl would ask her everytime she got back from the store "What did you buy me mommy?" I definitely dont want that for Julia:)

Spending Quality Time with Your Child

The Most Precious Gift to Give our Children by Lee-Anne Robert

As a proud mother of a two-year old daughter and an eleven month old son, I already see them growing too quickly before my eyes. It makes me wonder if I am being the best parent that I can be and if I will have regrets after they have grown up of what I did and didn’t do as a parent. And I ask myself, “What is simply the best gift to give my children?”
Could it be the new trend in toys or clothes? Could it be the candy or the chocolate bar that will make them delighted and happy? Is this what children really want or need?
In a rush, rush world and one where both parents must contribute to household expenses, parents are more apt to give their children material objects instead of the single most important gift that all children want, need and crave. It’s no wonder that children are becoming so material orientated at such young ages. It’s no wonder that a child’s most used saying is “I want.”
And do we not sometimes treat our children as material objects? Just as a child plays with a toy for a few minutes and then tosses the toy to the side, we as parents often treat our children the same way.
So what is the most precious gift to give our children? The answer lies within the following quote:
“We are always too busy for our children; we never give them the time or interest they deserve. We lavish gifts upon them; but the most precious gift, our personal association, which means so much to them, we give grudgingly.” Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)

Our “TIME” is the single most important gift to give our children!
Give your child the gift of time and truly learn about your child. Toys, clothes and chocolate bars can be replaced, but your time can never be replaced. Spend time with your child everyday and you will see the pleasure they derive from your quality attention. Children grow up too quickly so enjoy them, get to know them and don’t be a parent who has regrets after your children have grown up.

Stop playing serious and seriously play!

Starting Again!

Hey Everyone

Ok well I tried the shutterfly thing, and a few people said they couldnt see it unless they signed up! Sooooo, im going back to this:)

So life has been pretty busy these last few months and its only going to get busier for the summer! So excited for all the events coming up, but i do get a little stresses out thinking about it!! Julia is growing more and more every day it seems. She is already 5 1/2 Months old! She is eating cereal and carrots and apples:) Mommy makes her baby food at home! So much healthier for her and it comforts me to know exactly what goes into her little tummy! Julia is also rolling ALL over the place now, and she can sit up by herself too! She loves to play in the bathtub and splash in the water:) She is getting so big, so fast and learning new things all the time. She also LOVES watching Baby Einstein, she will sit and watch the whole 20 Minute video, I only let her watch it maybe every other day because I dont want her to be a little boob tube:) But she just stares at all the colors and shapes and loves the classical music. Her favorite is the Baby Beethoven:) In the car on the way to her sitter we listen to either Veggie Tales worship or Praise Baby, most of the time she falls asleep, but some times she will be in the back talking away and playing with the flower that hangs from her carseat(Papa named it Joey)!!
